Bees Deluxe bring Acid Blues to Silvana on 116th Street

Bees Deluxe: Boston’s unique acid-blues & modern jazz ensemble play Silvana, 116th Street, NYC on Monday June 10

Bees Deluxe start their "Shake and Bake" Tour of the Eastern seaboard — playing from Brooklyn to Boca and back with a show at Silvana on 116th Street, NYC. Led by British guitar phenom, Conrad Warre, Bees Deluxe seamlessly merges Chicago blues with funk, modern jazz and r&b for a riveting and entertaining experience that takes blues to a new dimension.

Blues Blast Magazine says of Bees Deluxe — "what might happen if Freddie King took a lot of acid then wrote a song with Pat Metheny and asked a strung-out Stevie Ray Vaughan to take a solo"

In addition to Warre, Bees Deluxe features Carol Band on keyboards and harmonica, Allyn Door on bass and vocals and Paul Giovine on drums. Their repertoire includes arresting originals as well as less-travelled tunes by artists ranging from the Three Kings (Albert, Freddy and B.B.) to Billie Holiday, Etta James, Otis Rush, Albert Collins, J.B. Lenoir, Miles Davis, John Scofield, Joe Zawinul and more.
