Behind the Scenes Tour

Go from the basement to the belvedere of Rose Hill Mansion. Please be advised that there are many stairs to climb, a dirt-floor basement, and some confined spaces included in the tour. The Behind-the-Scenes tour is not the same as the regular guided mansion tour. The tour lasts an hour and half. Recommended for adults and children over 10 years old. As space is limited, reservations are required and can be purchased at historicgeneva.org.

Experience a taste of 19th-century life when you visit Rose Hill Mansion in the beautiful Finger Lakes. Once the center of a busy farm, the house is open seasonally for guided tours. Overlooking Seneca Lake, the 1839 Greek Revival Mansion features 21 furnished rooms.  Explore the life and times of the Swan family who lived in the house from 1850 to 1890, and the many workers required to keep the large house and farm in working order.
