Two stunning outdoor spectacles come together to make for one unforgettable Artpark Season finale! As seen at Coachella, Burning Man and on NBC's America's Got Talent, the world-renowned installation artist, musician William Close will perform with his Earth Harp Collective in the Artpark Amphitheater. Exploring the intersection of architecture and music, the audience will literally sitinside the belly of the larger-than-life harp as it is played and experience an instant transformation of Artpark into a musical instrument and multi-dimensional concert experience. The concert will feature a mix of new compositions and well-loved classics played by an ensemble of musicians performing on William Close’s self-invented sculptural instruments, including the world-renowned Earth Harp, Drum Sculptures, Aquatar and wearable drum jacket. The performance will be followed by the U.S. premiere of Big Bang by Plasticiens Volants, a French street theatre company that has captivated audiences worldwide for forty years. This jaw-dropping spectacle combines huge floating inflatable creatures with projected images, music, and pyrotechnics to tell an unforgettable, dreamlike story of the creation of the universe.
