The history of the American Barn Quilt can be traced back almost 300 years, with early homesteads creating decorative yet distinctive quilt patterns to display on their barns and help travelers navigate. Brewster’s Barn Quilt Trail features student designs based on historic and contemporary agricultural sites within the school district in Putnam County, NY. Farm is open to the public 7 days a week, hours posted.
