Details

In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, the Geneva History Museum presents a new exhibit exploring how the City and Town of Geneva have commemorated major civic milestones over time. The exhibit showcases the many ways the community has come together to celebrate—from parades and reenactments to pageants and public gatherings—marking anniversaries of the village and city, as well as the nation’s bicentennial and now its 250th birthday. This exhibition is part of Historic Geneva’s broader America 250 commemoration, which also features a series of programs and blog content throughout the year.
