Celebrate America 250: Independence Day at The Village of Tannersville & Town of Hunter

The Village of Tannersville and Town of Hunter will celebrate America’s 250th Independence anniversary on Saturday, July 4, 2026, with a parade, live music, and full-day festivities at Upper Rip Van Winkle Lake Park in Tannersville, NY.

Parade lineup begins at 1 PM in the Tops/Go Green parking lot, with step-off at 2 PM. Marchers and floats will travel east on Main Street, turn onto South Main Street, and end at the park.

Festivities feature live music, including Sonny Rock and the Torpedoes, bounce houses, vendors, lake activities, food, and family entertainment until dusk. The day concludes with a fireworks display over Rip Van Winkle Lake.

Free event; everyone is welcome to attend and participate.
