Sunday Street Concerts is excited to announce a special Celtic Christmas Show, featuring acclaimed sibling folk music duo Cassie and Maggie MacDonald, being held at The Long Island Museum.  The holiday show will take place on December 14th at 3:00 p.m. in the Gillespie Room at The Long Island Museum, located at 1200 Route 25A in Stony Brook. Cassie and Maggie MacDonald are a sibling folk music duo from Nova Scotia -- Maggie sings lead vocals and plays piano and guitar, while Cassie sings harmony vocals and plays fiddle, and both sisters step dance. Rooted in their deep Celtic heritage, their melodies sing of truths that resonate through time while bridging the gap between tradition and innovation. With spellbinding harmonies and virtuosic instrumental prowess these sisters infuse the rich traditions of their region with a contemporary vitality, resulting in a sound that's both timeless and fresh. Their accolades include a JUNO nomination and numerous Canadian Folk Music Awards and East Coast Music Awards, underscoring their exceptional musical talents and their ability to connect with audiences across the globe.
