On Sunday, October 22nd, the West Kortright Centre presents its annual chamber music concert, starting at 3PM. This year’s featured group is Frisson, a new and exciting nine-member ensemble of strings, woodwinds, and French horn. Frisson expands and contracts into a variety of smaller ensembles to showcase rarely performed masterworks. This concert will include a chamber version of Strauss’s Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks, an improvisational piece by Swedish composer Svante Henryson, a nonet by Martinu, and Mozart’s Oboe Quartet in F major. Frisson is made up of some of the most talented recent graduates of Juilliard, Curtis, and Yale and is led by acclaimed oboist Thomas Gallant.
