Cycle the Erie Canal

The historic Erie Canalway Trail offers some of the best cycling anywhere in the Northeast. This 400-mile, fully-supported bike tour takes riders from Buffalo to Albany in 8 days. And this year, we're celebrating the bicentennial of the Erie Canal!

Covering between 40 and 60 miles per day, cyclists experience scenic vistas, pivotal history, and unparalleled cycling. The Erie Canalway Trail is now more than 85 percent off-road and suitable for all ages and abilities.
