Daily Site Tours at Seward House Museum

Details

The Seward House Museum is excited to offer  hourly tours of the historic home of William Henry and Frances Seward on Saturday, June 17th, 10 AM to 5 PM. Serving as a New York State Senator, Governor of New York, a U.S. Senator, and as Secretary of State in the Lincoln and Johnson administrations, Seward was one of the foremost politicians of nineteenth century America. He is best remembered for Seward's Folly, or his prominent involvement in the national purchase of Alaska. Frances was a staunch abolitionist and women's rights advocate who opened her home as a stop on the Underground Railroad. We look forward to sharing their stories and nearly original collection or artifacts with you during Path Through History weekend!

In honor of the Juneteenth holiday house tours will be free on Saturday, June 17.
