DEC's Free Fishing Day

Why not make a day out of it? It’s also DEC’s Free Fishing Day, where residents and non-residents are allowed to fish without a freshwater fishing license or recreational marine fishing registration (*Kids under 16 can always fish for free!). It’s the perfect opportunity to try out fishing for the first time, to get back into the sport, or to take a friend or the whole family along! Don't have fishing equipment? Borrow fishing gear for the day from one of the many providers statewide!
