The eighth performance of the 2019–2020 Concert Series, presented by Friends of Good Music and held at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts, is Philip Edward Fisher and his piano recital: "Beethoven at 250." Following his appearance in 2019 as a soloist with the Western New Chamber Orchestra, this internationally renowned pianist returns for the recital with a program celebrating the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven. Widely recognized as a unique performer of refined style and exceptional versatility, this prolific soloist and ensemble musician has performed across his native United Kingdom, as well as in Italy, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, Kenya, Zimbabwe, the Ukraine, and United States. Fisher studied at the Royal Academy of Music and the Juilliard School. In 2001 he received the prestigious Julius Isserlis Award from the Royal Philharmonic Society of London.
