Geology of the Hudson Valley

Join our resident geologist, Kim Fendrich, on a journey through time. Learn about the geologic history of this area and observe evidence of tectonic activity, glaciation, weathering, and erosion throughout the Buttermilk Hill area of the Preserve. With 4 sites of interest and a route that covers 5 miles, we’ll be doing lots of walking so please come prepared with plenty of water and a light snack.
