Geology of the Hudson Valley

Details

Embark on a journey through time and learn about the geologic history of the Hudson Valley on this 4-mile hike through the Buttermilk Hill area with our resident geologist, Kim Fendrich. We’ll stop at 4 sites along the way and observe evidence of tectonic activity, glaciation, weathering and erosion. Please bring water and a snack and be prepared to move at a brisk pace; some hiking experience is recommended. Leashed dogs are welcome. Suggested for ages 10+. Max: 20 people. Cost: $4.
