Gowanda Trout Fishing Derby

Gowanda's Fire Department is hosting a Trout Fishing Derby October 14-15, 2023! Saturday, October 14- 7:00am-6:00pm Sunday, October 15- 7:00am-4:00pm Fishing will take place within the Village of Gowanda boundaries of the Cattaragus Creek. There will be stocked tagged trout released in the Cattaraugus Creek with cash and merchandise prizes that corresponds with each tag number on the trout. All participants can register online or by mail. All NYS and Federal Laws will be followed for the event.
