A costumed interpreter will lead a guided walk around the Stony Point Battlefield, the site of a daring midnight assault during the American War for Independence. The interpreter will explain the plan and execution of the American assault on the British garrison, highlighting the design and defense strategy of the fort and the bold idea for the attack that took place on July 16, 1779 (This is a guided walk only, not a battle reenactment).
