The 18th-annual "Maple in April Festival", held the last weekend of April, welcomes more than 1,000 visitors along Rockwell Street and spills over onto Stony Creek Road and the Smead Memorial Park in Hadley, NY. Visitors come from a 75-mile radius in Saratoga and Warren Counties and from Vermont. Regional businesses, agricultural, and commercial vendors participate in this family-friendly two-day festival. Each year the all-volunteer committee creates a well attended "lil’ Sugar dust-off Car & Truck Show" and a growing "Dogs Day in the Park" event, as well as offering live entertainment, more than 65 craft and food vendors which draw young and the young at heart to the Maple in April Festival, April 25th and 26th. This two-day festival welcomes all to a variety of interesting family-friendly activities with a maple theme; from tasting maple syrup, maple cotton candy, maple milk, and maple cheese to a backyard maple producer’s tasting contest. Begin the day with a Scholarship French Toast Breakfast served with pure Adirondack Maple Syrup, enjoy live entertainment, marvel at the classic cars and trucks at the Hadley-Smead Memorial Park, browse the many food and craft vendors, play at the Kids’ Corner, take a horse-drawn wagon ride, collect Scavenger Hunt items, learn about owls and other birds of prey, watch plein-air artists create art for Sunday’s Silent Auction, and welcome all breeds of dogs to Dogs Day in the Park on Sunday.
