HARLEM DAY is the biggest day of the HARLEM WEEK public events and attracts over 100,000 persons of all ages from throughout the city, the Tri-state region, nationally and internationally. The attendees enjoy four (4) stages of music and entertainment including Jazz, dance, R&B, gospel, Rock & Roll, Blues, Caribbean, African and Latin music as well as fashion shows on the 5th Ave., at the Children's Festival, at the YMCA, and on St. Nicholas Ave. One of the unique highlights of the day is the urban Upper Manhattan Auto Show which showcases classic, vintage, environmental and new vehicles. This event is the premiere outdoor urban Auto Show in the northeast. The show also includes motorcycles, historic antique buses, and attracts thousands of auto show enthusiasts. The day also features a NYC Health Village which provides free exams, screening and other health related information; the second day of the 2-Day NYC Children’s Festival; the famous Back to School Children's Fashion Show; the NYC Outdoor Business Expo; and, multiple games and rides. A special feature of the weekend is the Up Market Pavilion that showcases unique handmade specialty items ranging from artwork, clothing, accessories, jewelry and more created by famous artisans from across the nation and beyond. Throughout the day hundreds of vendors and exhibitors sell an array of arts, crafts, clothing, food and much, much more. This event also attracts internationally renowned performing artists to its four stages. HARLEM DAY is indeed a day not to be missed!
