Hinsdale Horseradish Festival

  • Details
  • Not only will you find everything horseradish, you'll find vendors with wine, craft beer, pottery, handmade jewelry, furniture, handmade soaps, country crafts, candles, paintings, live music and more! For those of you who are unfamiliar with this festival you may ask "Why a Horseradish Festival?" Well, in the early 1900’s, horseradish really was a “hot commodity” in Hinsdale. Maude Bell and her family grew horseradish right here along the banks of the Ischua Creek and hauled it by horse and buggy to the market in Olean.
