Details

Come take a walk through Historic Red Mills Park, home to a rich industrial and agricultural history. Red Mills was the home of a colonial-era saw mill and grist mill, owned by Beverly Robinson, that grew the surrounding area into a thriving and prosperous hamlet, and later featured what is possibly the first carding mill in America. A major site of relevance during the Revolutionary War, Red Mills Park's sluiceway and mill wheels have been preserved in the historic park, along with informational panels telling the story of Beverly Robinson, the Philipse family, and Benedict Arnold. The tour is a self-guided walking tour.
