  • The Hudson River Maritime Museum, SS Columbia Project and the Good Work Institute invite the public to experience HO+MEPORT, a party celebrating the eighth annual O+ Kingston Friday, Oct. 6 from 5-10 p.m. at the museum and aboard the Pennsylvania Railroad Barge No. 399 aka the Pennsy 399 along the historic Rondout waterfront.Tour the museum’s many maritime history exhibits including “The Modeler’s Craft” (new for 2017) and hop aboard the Pennsy 399 to experience “The People’s Boat,” an exhibit that showcases the 115-year-old Columbia and chronicles the history of the great tradition of day excursion boats in New York State.Watch O+ Kingston artist Matthew Pleva make a large-scale mural depicting the Rondout Lighthouse at the maritime museum’s Riverport Wooden Boat School, which will also be providing demonstrations and hands-on activities.
