Honest Brook Music Festival Presents: Pianist Chaeyoung Park

Details

The Honest Brook Music Festival was started in 1989 and has become a fixture of the classical music scene in Delaware County and the surrounding area during the past 34 years, giving concerts annually each summer except for the summer of 2020 when the concert season had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The concerts are held in a converted dairy barn, and both the artists and the audience enjoy its warm, resonant acoustics. Artists have regularly commented on how wonderful it is to perform in the barn before the festival’s receptive audience. The festival prides itself on the number of young, unknown artists it has presented at the beginning of their performing careers who have become internationally known artists. This summer’s artist lineup is evidence of that philosophy. Starting the season in July is pianist Chaeyoung Park, followed by baritone John Moore and pianist Adam Golka. Performing in August are the Balourdet Quartet and Neave Trio. We will continue with no physical tickets however all seats will need to be reserved in advance. Pianist Chaeyoung Park was winner of the 2019 Hilton Head International Piano Competition, and is the first female Korean pianist to receive First Place in the history of the competition. She subsequently presented her solo recital debut at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall and performed Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 with the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra under the baton of John Morris Russell.
