Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Jazz Academy Big Band

Jazz at Lincoln Centers Jazz Academy Big Band is directed by Julius Tolentino. Comprised of students of all ages from the tri-state area, this collective is talented, spirited, and dedicated to swing and blues feeling. This year, they have been working extensively on the music of Charles Mingus and present this material with an admirable level of maturity, sensitivity, and joy.
