John Brown and Timbuctoo History Hike

The route follows the Potatofield loop at John Brown Farm State Historic Site and explores the story of the land use of this terrain; farmed by members of John Brown’s family, then by Lyman and Anna Eppes, and onward to the present. This is a 2-mile loop which ascends about 165 feet from the starting point at the visitor center to the edge of the upper field (part of Uihlein Farm). Participants must register with the guide by texting or calling 518-806-9719 to find out starting location and what to expect. All hikers should bring water.
