One of the premier stops on the nation's hunter-jumper horse show circuit, the Lake Placid Horse Shows feature the nation's best horses and riders competing in four show rings. The horse show features more than 100 classes of competition each week awarding more than $535,000 in prize money. Highlighted by the $75,000 Prevost Richard M. Feldman Grand Prix of Lake Placid on Sunday, July 1 as well as the $100,000 Great American Insurance Group I Love New York Grand Prix on Saturday, July 7, the show will also include the $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby Presented by Eastern Hay & Purina Animal Nutrition on Sunday, July 8.
The horse show also features a boutique area with a wide range of shopping. There is a variety of dining options throughout the show grounds as well. An assortment of special events will also take place throughout the horse shows that are entertaining for the entire family. The final day of the Lake Placid Horse Show will also feature a leadline class. The longstanding tradition of Pony Club Day and the popular Doggie Costume Class will also take place. $2 on weekdays & $5 on weekends. Children under the age of 12 are admitted free. Tickets are available at the gate.
