Learn How to Make All Natural Soap at Clover Brooke Farm

Details

This soap-making class will teach you a fun and functional skill. Participants will learn the cold-process technique of soap making. This will enable you to make unique presents for your friends and family or give your home a more natural feel. When you create your own soap, you can avoid synthetic chemicals like parabens and learn the right ingredient portions to infuse your soaps. Commercially made soaps can sometimes include harsh chemicals that cause more harm than good over time. Finding soaps that don't irritate your sensitive skin can be challenging. Making your own soaps lets you create soaps formulated specifically for your skin. Soap making includes using base oils. Certain natural oils like coconut and olive pomace oils have natural benefits. They're also very gentle in the right proportions, decreasing the risk of skin problems from extended use. All of Clover Brooke Farm's soaps are vegan and responsibly made right at the farm. The cost for this session includes everything you need to make your first batch of soap, along with a starter kit that allows you to continue soap-making at home. In this hands-on lesson, you’ll learn how to craft soap using a few essential tools. You'll also receive pages of recipes, helpful tips, and detailed instructions. Each lesson will take place in Clover Brooke's newly renovated historic 1850 barn, which overlooks peaceful pastures. All participants must be 16 years or older.
