Photographer Tommy Clarke, named the International Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2015, will share his adventures strapped high above the ground in a helicopter to capture some of the most breathtaking landscape photographs from the sky above. His lecture will be conducted at the beautiful LUMAS photo gallery where he will show a collection of his photographs and where original prints will be on display.
Clarke’s first helicopter photograph was of Bondi Beach in Sydney. He has since flown over beaches all around the world. The photographer painstakingly plans every shoot, scouting potentially suitable stretches of the coast with Google Earth. While taking photographs, Clarke is primarily fascinated by the interactions between colors as you will immediately see in the images he creates.
The lecture is free to anyone who would like to attend. Tacos and adult beverages will be served. Raffles, giveaways, and a chance to walk away with an original Tommy Clarke print will round out a great evening of photography and discussion.
