LUMA, the largest projection fine arts and entertainment festival in the United States, returns on September 1st. Last year, 30,000 people gathered in Downtown Binghamton, NY, to celebrate a bold confluence of technology and visual arts. LUMA is a festival founded by artists, for artists, with the wholehearted embrace of an entire city. LUMA Projection Arts Festival is a free event that features the latest 3D projection mapping and animation technology to bring artwork to life on building facades. Throughout the evening, starting at sundown, animations will be projected at regular intervals on five buildings throughout Downtown Binghamton. Festival-goers can move from building to building, at their own pace throughout the event, to see the projected artworks. Join us around 9 PM on Friday, September 1, to experience the third annual LUMA Festival. *Rain Dates will be Saturday 9/2 or Sunday 9/3 if necessary.
