Market Day Craft Fair in Fishkill

Come for the masterful crafts and stay for lunch, made-to-order apple fritters, and a tour of the Van Wyck Homestead Museum - a Revolutionary War site! Rain date is Sunday, October 13th. Market Day is a modern-day take on old-time markets. In the colonial era, market days allowed craftspeople, farmers, and friends to come together for fellowship and stock up on needed goods. Over 30 local arts and crafts vendors including watercolor art, wooden gifts, pottery, jewelry, wreaths, soaps, knit clothing, quilted bags, dècor, and more. The Fishkill Historical Society’s volunteers will have concession stands with lunch and desserts. The Van Wyck Homestead Museum’s gift shop will be on the porch with t-shirts, tri-corn hats, mob caps, and raffle tickets. The museum will be open for free guided tours during the Market Day event. In the museum, you'll see a special exhibit that celebrates the 200th anniversary of the the Marquis de Lafayette's tour of the United States. Also, Musician, Steve Kelman, will enhance the day's festivities with live music!
