Monday Night Teen Writers Workshop (Via Zoom)

This is a six-week class on Zoom meeting Mondays from 4:00-5:30pm starting on Monday September 11th and ending on Monday October 16th. Are you a dedicated creative writer looking for specialized instruction and a peer group? The Teen Writers Workshop will provide intensive lessons on craft, a wide variety of generative creative writing prompts, professional workshop experience, and instruction on revision and editing. Teens may come into this workshop with a work in progress or to start something new. This is a great space for teen writers to form a community while also gaining individualized attention on the craft components they struggle with most. Misty Yarnall received her BA in Creative Writing from Purchase College. She is a member of the Teaching Artist Institute of Rochester and has facilitated workshops for writers of all ages through nonprofit organizations such as Writers & Books, Best Buddies, the REV Theatre Company, the Bedford Hills Public Library, Wild Roof Literary Journal, and the Hudson Valley Writers Center. She is currently the Administrative and Communications Coordinator and the Youth Programs Coordinator at the Hudson Valley Writers Center.
