Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome Flight Night: Music, Food, Biplane Rides

Hold on tight! The action is taking off at the Aerodrome, with air shows every Saturday and Sunday from June 20–Oct. 18, 2026!

The Aerodrome will also host mid-week Flight Nights on select Wednesdays featuring open cockpit biplane flights, live music and food from 6–8 p.m.

Of course, no trip to the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome would be complete without taking your very own flight in an authentic 1929 New Standard D-25 open-cockpit biplane. There is even a Lighthouse Tour that gives you a breathtaking view from the air of Saugerties Light, Rondout Light and Esopus Meadows Light, among the many other treasures of the Hudson Valley. The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome's museum is open May 1–Oct. 31, 2026, from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Weekend Air Shows

For the Saturday and Sunday air shows, gates open at 10 a.m., with pre-show activity starting at 2 p.m. and the air show starting at 2:30. 

The Saturday "History of Flight" program highlights the Pioneer Era before World War I and the Golden Age of Aviation in the 1920s and 30s. The Sunday air show is the World War I dog-fight spectacular, with a hero or heroine, the villainous Black Baron of Rhinebeck, scenery, pyrotechnics and a World War I tank, along with antique automobiles.

Of course, the stars of the show are the historic airplanes. There are usually between 15 and 20 flyable aircraft for each show.
