Open House

Details

The Hopewell Depot Museum will have an open house on Saturday Oct 12,2024 from 10 am to 2 pm. The Hopewell Depot Museum is a restored railroad depot dating back to 1873. It has guided tours that will take visitors back in time through videos, displays and artifacts to the heyday of railroads in Dutchess County and their contribution to the industrial revolution in New England. The grounds include a caboose built in 1916 and a replica of New York New Haven and Hartford Signal Interlocking Tower #196. There is also a picnic pavilion and we border the historic Maybrook Line which is now the Empire State Trail. It is a wonderful way to spend your day learning about railroads and the local community.
