Oratorio Society of New York: Sanctuary Road & We Are One

  • The Oratorio Society of New York will close its 145th season by performing two world premieres with one powerful message: the human spirit cannot be conquered.

    On May 7 at Carnegie Hall, the OSNY will premiere "Sanctuary Road: An Oratorio Based on the Writings of William Still, a Conductor for the Underground Railroad," by Pulitzer Prize winners composer Paul Moravec and librettist Mark Campbell. The concert also features the premiere Behzad Ranjbaran's "We Are One," which presents texts from different cultures and languages that reflect on the human desire for mutual respect and peace.
