Reflections on Erie's Waters w/ Carol Sheriff

Tyler Department of History, The College of William and Mary, and author of The Artificial River: The Erie Canal and the Paradox of Progress, 1817-1862 will be at the site to present this special lecture as part of the Erie Canal Museum's statewide lecture series celebrating the bicentennial of the Erie Canal.

    "Reflections on Erie's Waters" is a wonderful collaboration between the Erie Canal Museum and the Canal Society of New York State. This multifaceted project includes exhibits and a series of statewide lectures and artist-led workshops that commemorate the bicentennial of the Erie Canal and examine this waterway's historical impact, present significance, and future potential among all New York State communities.
