Details

"Remembering the American Revolution: Celebrating the 250th" is an exhibit that explores the ideas of Americanism, patriotism, and remembrance. The American Revolution was not only the birth of our nation and the separation of our government from the sovereign nation, but also the foundation of our patriotism. Americanism, the loyalty to the traditions, institutions, and ideals of the United States, began to flourish after the Revolution. Reminders of the Revolution are reflected in our flag, annual celebrations, and organizations. This exhibit showcases how we have remembered the American Revolution and how we have celebrated it since its end in 1783. The exhibit also teaches visitors about the 19 American Revolutionary War patriots who are buried in the Town and Village of LeRoy, NY.
