The New York State MTB Series was formed in 2008 by five local race promoters who were all putting on individual events. These promoters all decided to put their efforts together in an attempt to revive the New York State Race series. We are a grass roots organization that prides itself on designing fun, yet challenging race courses. We also try to provide a good venue atmosphere with great vibes, music, food and a friendly overall race experience.
The NYSMTB series is an independent races series. Though each racer must register, there is no need to acquire a license to race any of our races EXCEPT the Windham Mountain: Race the World race on August 9th. The Windham race is a USA Cycling sanctioned event, and racers must acquire a USAC license to race at Windham. All rules will be followed. Click here to view the USAC rules.
Series Championship Title
Racers must compete in at least three race events to be considered for the overall series title. Series points are awarded for race events only. The festival and fundraiser events on our calendar are awesome and fun, and we want everyone to come; but they do not contribute points toward the Series Championships.
