Robert Everett – Preacher, Publisher, and Abolitionist with Ted Engle


Join us October 9 for a presentation by Ted Engle about the Rev. Robert Everett. Everett was a Welsh-American preacher who came to Oneida County in 1823 who was heavily involved with the Anti-slavery movement. He eventually located to the Remsen-Steuben region and became a publisher as well as a preacher. He also translated and published antislavery speeches of Frederick Douglas and Harriet Beecher Stowe (Uncle Tom’s Cabin).
