Roman Holiday

Details

The Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra presents Roman Holiday, conducted by Maestro Daniel Hege: a travelogue through the Mediterranean, featuring symphonic impressions of Italy and Spain. Tchaikovsky’s “Capriccio Italien” is a portrait of his trip to Rome using familiar Italian tunes. Paired with Ottorino Respighi’s urban nature tour “The Pines of Rome,” and “Fandangos,” a meditation on Spanish dance forms by Puerto Rican composer Robert Sierra, this concert paints a melodic landscape for audiences of all ages. Children 17 and under attend for free.
