Sailors' Snug Harbor Art & Architecture tour

Details

Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden is the proud steward of 28 historical buildings dating from 1833. We are one of the largest adaptive reuse sites in the country, including the finest collection of original Greek Revival buildings. Six structures were included in the first 40 landmark designations in the United States, issued by the New York City Landmark Preservation Commission. We are a National Historic District. Come learn the stories behind Sailors’ Snug Harbor’s construction and the people responsible for its design. Visit Snug Harbor’s Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art and learn how Snug Harbor continues its role as the major cultural institution on Staten Island. Dress for walking in all weather. Event is rain or shine. $10 for general admission, $8 for students, seniors, and Snug Harbor members.
