The Festival welcomes back pianist-composer Conrad Tao (“electrifying,” New York Times), whose career has taken off since he last performed here as a 14-year-old, in 2009. He partners with dramatic and charismatic violinist Stefan Jackiw (“brilliant,” New York Times) to lead a program of imaginative music by famous friends Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms, as well as by their muse, Clara Wieck (Schumann); David Ying and Elinor Freer also return to perform.
