Her soul-drenched voice has made her one of the most distinctive and classic singers, as powerful today as she was 50 years ago. Seven decades has not slowed down or diminished the uplifting sound of The Blind Boys who helped create a new gospel sound for the 21st century. This six-time Grammy-Award-winning group has appeared on recordings with Bonnie Raitt, Ben Harper, k.d.lang, Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel, Susan Tedeshi and many more. Formed in 1961, The Preservation Hall Legacy Quartet is comprised of the most revered alumni of the Preservation Hall to help preserve the traditional aspects of the Hall’s musical mission.
