Times Square Church presents "The Cross and The Switchblade," a new dramatic presentation based on a true story and a bestselling book which sold 14 million copies worldwide. It is the story of David Wilkerson, a skinny preacher from rural Pennsylvania compelled to cross cultural lines and risk his life to be a lifeline to teen gang members swallowed by a life of drugs, violence, and prostitution in the unforgiving streets of New York City. The production marks the 30th anniversary of Times Square Church located at the historic Mark Hellinger Theatre. Performances will run 90 minutes in length. "The Cross and The Switchblade" is free and open to the public. Show times: Friday, October 6 & 13 at 7 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 15, 22 & 29 at 6 p.m.
