the Visitor Center will present exhibits of Endicott Johnson, the largest shoe co. In the world and the IBM and ITR giants who made there home in Endicott. Along with these two giants we have displays of The BC Open and Dicks Open Golf Tournaments. a very beautiful exhibit of Czech handmade clothing for men women and children plus China and crystal and folk art. the Visitor Center is a beautiful mansion built circa 1900. Mr. and Mrs. Bowes built this wonderful mansion and lived in it for less than 20 years. in And around 1945 it was Triple College a two year school of Syracuse, students would then transfer to main campus in Syracuse. in the early fifties it was sold to Harper College and became part of the SUNY system. A liberal Arts school. in the early seventies it was transferred to the new campus now Binghamton University. NY State choose Colonial Hall to. Be a Visitor Center. on display along with the above mention companies there are exhibits of the carousel’s. Mr. Johnson built 6 for area parks that to this day are free of charge for all ages. an appealing exhibit of turn of the century women’s dresses and hats are a treat to see.
