Thurman Fall Farm Tour

The Thurman Fall Farm Tour showcases maple producers, a goat and sheep farm, sanctuaries, a tree farm and lumber mill promoting sustainable forestry, and more. This self-guided tour offers nine unique sites. Visit farms over 200 years old and others which have been carved out of the woodlands in this decade. Children’s activities, tractor hay rides, and animal encounters are some of the fun you will experience. Shop for cheeses, jams, jellies, quilts, organic vegetables and meats, and artisan wares. Take wagon rides, taste maple products, and explore a goat and sheep dairy farm. Learn about sugaring, mushrooms, medicinal plants, and more! Our sites are open from 10am to 4pm though a couple may open earlier and/or close later, be sure to note each site’s hours of operation. As you drive into Thurman on route 418 (Thurman Station area), or Route 28 (The Glen) or South Johnsburg Rd. (county route 57), see at various intersection Thurman Fall Farm Tour signposts with arrows directing you to each of our unique sites. Download and print your passport to win prizes, or you can pick up one at any of our stops! Make sure to have your passport punched at each site you visit. No matter how many punches you have, when you visit your last farm of the day, fill out the passport stub and deposit the whole card in the collection tub at that farm. Be sure to gas up your vehicle before you arrive in town, as there are no gas stations in Thurman.
