Tours of USS SLATER

Walk the decks of the last destroyer escort afloat in America, USS SLATER! During World War II, 563 Destroyer Escorts battled Nazi U-boats on the Atlantic protecting convoys of men and material. In the Pacific they stood in line to defend naval task forces from Japanese submarines and Kamikaze air attacks. Today, only one of these ships remains afloat in the United States, the USS SLATER. Open for tours April - November, Wednesday - Sunday, 10 AM - 4 PM. Tickets can be purchased in advance at USSSLATER.org or at our register as you arrive. Tours start every 30 minutes. $14 Adults, $12 Seniors & Veterans, $10 Children (6-17), Children 5 and under are free.
