Guided by Ali from Clover&Fox, in this class you’ll carve your own 4”x6” block to create a one-of-a-kind reduction print with two colors! Learn step-by-step the process of reduction block printing- from transferring your design, carving the block with professional tools, inking the design and pulling a print by hand, then carving and printing the second layer. Immerse yourself in this tactile and hands-on medium and expand your creative expression.

Paper

Please come prepared with any designs or drawings you would like to create for your journals. Ideal images have bold shapes and lines for beginner prints; experienced printmakers can bring more detailed drawings. Make sure your design has 2 colors so each layer will be distinguishable. Reference images will also be provided for you to choose from.
