Voices of Revolution 250th Lecture Series: New York’s Hidden Discoveries

Join us at Senate House on Friday July 24th at 6:30pm as author Debra Bruno explores New York’s 200-year history of slavery through her own family’s past. After discovering that her own Dutch ancestors had been enslavers, Debra began her journey to uncover hidden histories. Along the way, she met Eleanor Mire, a descendant of the very people her ancestors enslaved. Together, they worked to tell the stories of people long forgotten, investigating history hidden in plain sight. Copies of A Hudson Valley Reckoning will be available for purchase.
