Wassail

Mark your calendars for our first event of 2025, just in time to beat the mid-winter blues! Join us for our 2nd Annual Wassail on Saturday, January 25th! Wassailing is a winter tradition that involves singing, dancing, and drinking to bless orchards and ensure a good harvest for the following year. Orchard trees are “blessed” by spilling cider on the roots and “toasting” the branches with slices of bread. Our SLN version will be a family-friendly event with a bonfire-tour of the orchard, soup, bread, and cider samples and sales available from our friends at Pierrepont Cider, Canton Apples, Frosty Twig Cider, Earthbound Bread, and Big Spoon Kitchen. Keep your fingers crossed for a snowy day so folks can bring snowshoes and skis to tour the orchard! ❄️❄️❄️ Costumes and musical instruments highly encouraged!
