Watermelon Festival

Cap off your summer during the sweetest harvest on Long Island! There will be plenty of watermelon to snack on and lots of fun, too! Don’t miss our Watermelon Eating Contests! They will be held in the Barnyard Adventure at 2:30 pm & 4:30 pm on both Saturday & Sunday. There’ll be FREE LIVE MUSIC in our courtyard/picnic area both days from 1-5 pm. Saturday, the talented Nick Kerzner is scheduled to perform. Sunday, singer/guitarist Matt Taylor will be performing. While you’re here you can visit Harbes Barnyard Adventure for hours of family fun! The Barnyard admission includes a Musical Hayride tour of our 100-acre farm and our famous pig races. There are also farm animals, our very popular “Jumbo Jumpers” bounce pillows, a Sports Zone with baseball, football, and basketball tossing games, “Lil’ Farmers PlayLand” filled with lots of fun activities for preschoolers, a trike track, obstacle course, hedge maze, our musical animatronic chicken show, and much more. Harbes Wine Barn, located behind the main farmstand, is a wine lover’s dream! In our 100-year-old renovated potato barn, we offer tastings of our award-winning wines and wine by the glass or bottle. You won’t want to miss any of our delicious foods during your visit! You’ll particularly love our mouthwatering selection of homemade ice cream – including watermelon. There will also be delicious tomato/mozzarella paninis, Harbes own roasted corn, additional treats, and maybe some other watermelon surprises!
