Meet in the main parking Lot at 9:25. Start with a centering in the field and then walk through the woods in silent meditation. Stop for yoga at the lakeside listening to the waves, then hike along the rocky beach and up to the top of McIntyre Bluff for more yoga at the top of the lakeside cliff. Hike back for final centering before class ends at 11 am. Wear layers to avoid insect bites in the woods and good hiking shoes. Kids are welcome if they are old enough to keep still during the walking meditation and the first half of the event. The hike back after click yoga is informal so we can all chatter then. No previous yoga experience necessary. Hike is easy. About 3 miles. However you may have to climb over or under trees and other objects on the beach so this hike is not appropriate for those with physical challenges or injuries. $10 per person (under 18 free)--make checks payable to Friends of Sterling Nature Center, or cash is accepted.
